what is the in game advantage of mvam and saucer separation?
Well...there are multiple vectors, it assaults things and it's a mode... Three ships shooting at one target is better than one ship firing at three targets, right?
Also can get quite handy when ur ships is about to die ;)
Out Of interest will the oberth class ever be added to star trek armada 3?

i doubt it, just like it said in the history section, they were replaced with the novas
hmm there would be plenty around in this time frame actually. There was even one at the battle of first contact, although yes it doesnt serve in a combat role and the only scout role is filled by the nova so there you go.
