Easily my favorite not-strictly-canon ship. Ecstatic to see it made the cut! I presume it'll primarily function as a heavy carrier of sorts?
Perhaps a heavy fire support/carrier.
Its that ship that no one wants to mess with! Though strictly speaking the Excaliber herself, and her sister ship, were designed as hospital ships as this vessel was the Sovereign class starships rival for production. The sovereign won and was mass produced, this class was turned into a hospital ship during the latter half of the dominion war ... and I'm not a fan of star trek at all (Sarcasm intended) :p
