The envisionment of SIN is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of the gutted retail release we were left with. SIN aims to cover every aspect imaginable from gameplay intended to genuinely scare the player, to graphics for the absolute best visual experience, cut mutants, absolute realism, optimisations, stability, and a complete game mechanics overhaul, all without breaking the story. The idea is to present the player with a complete retail experience for the purist that liked SoC but wished it was far more fleshed out. In no way what so ever does SIN try to be like old beta or alpha builds of SoC, SIN aims to enhance everything SoC already has and give it continuity with CS and CoP - nothing more, nothing less.

Out of interest what's the dev rig?

The dev rig is pretty beastly;

Z77 Extreme 6
i5 3570k @ 4.5GHz
8GB G.Skill Ripjaws @ 2133Mhz CL10
HD7970 3GB @ 1125MHz GPU, 6800MHz effective memory clock

To run everything the dev rig currently is @ 1920x1080 or higher without the occasional slowdowns you are looking at the R9 290X with the snot overclocked out of it, or a GTX970/980 with the snot clocked out of them, or when they are released a R9 380X or R9 390\390X. If you have a monitor with a lower native resolution, say 1680x1050, then even with everything on and maxed out with a clocked HD7970 you would likely be looking at 45FPS vs. the 29FPS in this screen.

No problem, currently I'm working on optimising things on a settings based level, maximum FPS without sacrificing visuals, and I've handed off some documentation to meltac which should help him with getting more FPS on the code based level as well so by the time we are both done that 29FPS could possibly be upward of 40FPS even @ 1920x1080 with everything maxed out. Watch this space ;)

Ket, you oughta delid that cpu, seriously. IIRC, you said elsewhere that your 3570k is @ 1.18 vcore? You could be @ 5+ Ghz with that one.

We have near mirror imaged rigs, minus the water cooling. :) Mine, is in my HTPC (AsRock Z77e-itx)is pulling 4.9 all day, every day since about 2 months after the release of IB on 1.39v.

Amusing point, I'm running a MSI 7950 TF3 (7970 ref pcb) on that rig @ 1210/1945 (core/mem_actual), although under a Watercool.de Heatkiller block (Apogee drive II & (2) Alphacool UT-60 rads). 8 Gb Samsung ELV "wonder" ram 2400 Mhz @ 9-9-9-24. Unfortunately, she lost her pci-e output, and is on RMA as we speak.

I was just about to sell it though, as I'm in need of moar cores. Probably going to replace it with a 5820k as I don't see myself investing in 4k for quite some time, & I don't need anything outside of my 295x that's soon to be retired from the main rig to the HTPC.

Anyhow, just figured I'd comment since I just dl'd your mod (Thanks!).

As it says on the tin folks. I know what you are all thinking "...but it's wet inside the bar!" Don't worry, thats just where I haven't defined wet and dry places yet. You should all see the ground water effects with the settings TK is using they look bloody fantastic ;) When I say fantastic, I'm talking better than any wet effect I've seen in any game engine ever, that includes Skyrim with HD textures. Remember the ground wet effect Mass Effect 3 has on the final mission to find Leviathan? Well that looks like shit compared to the effect in CTP\TK. FPS is a bit low but thats something me and meltac are working on improving but its also important to remember these screens come from my dev rig where literally every bit of eyecandy is turned on and maxed out.
