The cities are empty; mankind is missing. In the distant future, where this mod is set, everyone remaining on the planet has given up their lives to virtual reality where their every need is taken care of by a machine. You play a nameless faceless citizen randomly sellected to be woken from your virtual reality to perform routine tasks for the AI-human hybrid that runs 'Sity' and in return you are promised a safe return into the virtual reality system. As you play you'll uncover that the task's you are performing aren't as routine as you're told and the incentive of returning into the virtual reality system might not remain your favorite option.

My mod will explore a range of features, some tried and tested, others new and experimental, all aimed at keeping the player interested and excited. Some of these features include player controlled slow motion, freerunning over rooftops, logic puzzles and immersive storyline. I've been researching these features for a half year as a part of my Personal Project, a huge project directed by myself for school. The Idea behind the mod is that most players don't play violent games because they enjoy the violence and they would be just as inclined to play games without violence so long as they have the other features they enjoy. For that reason many of the puzzles you find in Sity will be physical and will get your adrenaline pumping, every event will te into the story line for improved immersion and your path forward will be relatively undirected by anyone but yourself so that you're required to uncover the progression yourself.

The first chapter is released, for the next three chapters I'm looking to put together a dev team to get releases of higher quality out faster. This will either be a studio or a team dedicated to this mod. If you want to be involved and have experience in mapping, coding, 3d modeling or anything else please contact me! (btw, sity doesn't require much coding, just small things so if a coder wanted to only work on this as a side project that would be fine)

Sity was always meant to be an exploration of gameplay, an outlet to try out different things and generally hope to make discoveries in video game design with an audience for feedback. Sity chapter 2 will not be an exception to this. Because the first chapter was started as a school project exploring non-violent video game design. Now that that project is over the mod is no longer tied to it and I'm free to take it in any direction I like. I will be taking suggestions for chapter two and looking at feedback to see exactly what people what to see. You can expect to see some action added and some more exiting gameplay and probably an option for changing difficulty.

Here is a concept for chapter 2: Sityscape (Done for an interlopers map battle and for the banner on my portfolio. Three birds with one stone ^^)

 Thanks for reading!

Here it is; the first chapter of the first episode of Sity. It's an introduction to the storyline and gameplay of Sity. I've been working towards this...

It's the reaction-time-enhancing drugs. You can change the dosage with the mouse wheel.

I know, it took me a while to figure that out as well.

Despite the promising nature of the screens on here of the mod, it is basically a couple of obstacle course maps with some text appearing on the screen, level design isn't bad but requires some work, and everything is indoors, and also nothing makes any sense, the premise "wait and see the next episode" does not strike me as good. But who knows?

I rode the trains to the end and wound up in a white box with no apparent way out. D'oh! Is this another puzzle or am I missing something?
