Revival of an Old Friend image - Sins of a Galactic Empire mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
SoGE is a Star Wars Total Conversion for SoaSE: Rebellion with it's roots in the Homeworld 2 mod Star Wars: Warlords which features the two primarily sides of the Galactic Civil War, the Clone Wars, and the Yuuzhan Vong War. The current public version works for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion 1.90 and, with or without, all DLC. Rated #6 players choice in MOTY 2014. An editors choice in MOTY 2015.
For awhile now, SoGE has been dormant, without any work done on it. No more I say, and what better way to prove such than to show you all new assets? Maxloef has made another foray into the world of Star Wars, to experiment with Substance Painter for the first time, and the result is no less than stunning. Here you can see the new design for a classic, the Dreadnaught. The madman has something else in the works, but I won't spoil what it is; stay tuned!

Same here. A lot of SW ships have been like that for me, I hated the Secutor at first too.
I'm same with the Secutor I used to outright dislike it now it's grown on me, not that it doesn't need a few changes in my opinion

I am /so/ excited for this -- this mod is unique in its ability to create absolutely immense fleet battles, and the stylistic choices (weapon ranges, size of ships) really helped sell the huge scale of things! Everything from the clone fleet-cohesion balls of death to the CIS rumbling providence dreadnoughts, been missing it for months. :)
I've always really loved the old model, and this is exactly what I wanted. The classic look of the Dreadnought with a much-needed facelift that makes it look positively brilliant. Bravo.
