Deus Ex is one of the best PC games in history, but even it isn't without its faults and shortcomings. Shifter addresses these and then some. Unused game content, buggy scripted events, several completely useless items, and certain design choices that can only be described as "annoying", all fixed (or at least "improved") by this little mod. I started Shifter in 2002 to fix just one of the latter -- the fact that weapons equipped with a laser sight won't turn it on automatically -- and the project has expanded exponentially since then. A few new weapons, some additional uses for existing items, new augmentations, and several fixes for existing Deus Ex bugs all exist in Shifter, along with a new multiplayer component. The mod is so popular it's been featured in Game Informer's July 2007 edition of Mod World; how many Deus Ex mods can say that? (only 3, to be specific) Shifter: "Removing the suck from Deus Ex" since 2002.
It was always nice that you had your good buddy Miguel to help you break out of the MJ12 prison, but he was woefully underarmed to be of any real help. Fortunately you can now equip him (and a few other, select NPCs at various points in the game) with any weapon you have on you. Sure, Miguel might be a joke when all he has is a Combat Knife, but give him an Assault Shotgun or Assault Rifle and he's one lethal Latino jailbreaker. I never knew that, you can give any character a gun !! and any gun you want. I have been giving guns out to everyone with humorous results =D
Give that guy the PS20. Characters like him don't run out of ammo so he'll wtfpwn everything.
I recall trying the PS20.... Didn't work well; he'd use it once, or twice, but eventually he killed himself with the splash damage or glitch constantly drawing it but not using it.
That happened to me when I gave him PS20 lol.
How do you give it to him I press Tab and it says can't be dropped here :/
