Multiple fixes for scenes in ACOK 8.0. Generally, AI now gets stuck less, can access (or get out of) more areas. Player, sometimes, can do more. Over 200 scenes (including copies) revised. You only need to download the latest version of the fixpack.

Fixes include (but are not limited to) correcting these issues:

  • AI navmesh marking obstacles as passable by not excluding them, making AI stuck. Most notable offenders here are the ubiquitous Large Trees (Aspen or Oak), which litter many scenes.
  • AI navmesh NOT marking obviously passable areas as passable, leading to AI not being able to go where it logically should be able to go.
  • AI navmesh being too rough or not conforming to the terrain, making AI stuck.
  • AI navmesh not covering potentially escapable areas into which AI can spawn or fall, and in which either AI becomes stuck OR their attackers become stuck.
  • Roofs and other areas where AI can spawn or fall having no exit route at all.
  • Barriers blocking player without visual cues.
  • AI spawning on the outer edges of towers or phasing into buildings.
  • Lack of passages to Dungeons and Lord's Hall.
  • Siege scenes having ladders when they should have siege tower, leading to AI attackers being stuck if the Player is defending. Numerous cases of sieges infinitely stalled due to this are resolved.

Updates are very unlikely. But if you really want some - PM me (better via e-mail, steam or vk.com if you can guess the addresses) what scene needs fixing.

Is this mod save game compatible, or do we need to start a new playthrough? I'm not seeing if its one or the other

It is "savegame-compatible". Because scenes are not saved in the savegame files.

First, you have to find your ACOK 8.0 folder.
If you play through Steam and did not change where it installs Warband, it will be

Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\48700\1397121559

Now, you better copy your ACOK 8.0 as a non-steam module and play from here, I think.

So, go to where your Warband installation is, which, by default in Steam will be
Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband

open \modules\
create ACOK 8.0 folder in there
copy contents of ACOK 8.0 Steam folder into that new folder.

there you will find \SceneObj\ folder in which the scenery files are located, and it is where you put contents of this fixpack (not the archive, but what is inside the archive, the xxx.obj files).
