I could find no way to execute the game. Also, the README file is in "md" format, how does one open it to read it?!?

If you are using Linux, you can launch the game using the sabicube_unix launcher. This release only includes 32 and 64-bit linux binarys, so if you are using Win or Mac, you have to compile your own executable.

You can find more information on the game here: Github.com

I can't find any information on the recommended compiler for Windows or Mac environments on the GitHub page. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I'm sorry but I can't be of much help regarding Win or Mac.

The document "docs/dev/wikistuff.html" contain the original cube2-documentation, and compiling SabiCube should be possible using this approach.

If you do manage to compile it, I'll be happy to include it in the next release.

Visual Studios is generally the preferred windows one...

Or Code::Blocks if you prefer open-source ;-)

There's a .cbp file (Code Blocks project) in the src/vccp folder, but it might need some tweaking.

Sounds really cool, tracking and downloading. I hope I can figure out how to compile and executable though.

I know this is an old post, but you can install Linux for free on almost any system. It should be able to coexist with Windows, so you just chose which you want when the system boots. With Linux you get extremely easy access to lots of great free software, including a lot of programming tools.

‘Player will be encumbered when carrying too much’ … great my character totally stopped walking … I threw some items away and used others, got back to 119/120, but still can’t move, is this behavior intended?

And which level is the last one of Zeta Project?

Sorry about that, it's a bug. if you try to run it should reset your encumbrance.
