Older version of the mod, download Rise of Kings 1.1!
The first release for Rise of Kings, the medieval total conversion mod that brings many new features to Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots.
This release features many of the main Rise of Kings features such as religious units, unique techs and the Noble's Court. See the readme for more details. Three fully complete nations and one mostly complete nation appear:
- The English (replace the Indians; misses out on a few UUs)
- The Holy Roman Empire (replace the French)
- The Turks (replace the Lakota)
- The Byzantines (replace the Maya)
You can play as any other nation as well with their wonders, religious units etc but just don't have Unique Units, unless they happen to share some with one of the completed factions. Playable ages are the Dark Age (Classical Age), Castle Age (Medieval Age) and the Imperial Age (Gunpowder Age).
Please let me know if you see any bugs or have any feedback.
Wow Great job! I am very good!
I cant even find any option to enable mods :(
Ok, i found it and the mod i´s working fine for now. The Spanish interface was the problem.
this is a dumb question, but i have no idea how to download mods, so could you kinda tell me how? this mod looks insane.
Just press the download button above, unzip the downloaded folder and then follow the instructions I've included in the readme. That's all you need to do. I hope you enjoy it!
hello i downloaded this mod but the only place i can find to activate this is when i go to change the script when i go to quick play.any idea on how to help me
In the quick battle setup, there is a game modifications bar on the right hand menu and you should be able to select the mod there. If you aren't able to select this mod on the game modifications bar, you haven't installed it in the right place.
where is the art folder and all those other types of folders?
You will find all the folders that you need to place files into in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations". If you have Windows 7, the Microsoft Games folder will be located in "Program Files (x86)" instead of "Program Files". From there follow the instructions on where to put the different files. I hope that helps.
does this work on a mac? do any RoN mods work for macs?
Does the Mac version have a Rise of Nations folder with all the art and data files in it? If so, it might be possible for it to work if you follow the installation instructions but instead place the files and folders wherever the Mac version is located.
