One of the many galleys going into Rise of Kings for the Christmas promo pack. Were it not for the extra units included, such as cavalry, infantry and even exotic siege weapons, some might have renamed this mod as "Age of Galleys" - we have almost 1 dozen galley-type units!
Rise of Kings Wiki entry: "Contrary to the popular Anglocentric misconception that galleys were clumsy ships that relied mostly on brute force, the new ships developed by the Italians and their contemporaries of the Late Mediaeval period then consisted mostly of streamlined vessels capable of moving through aqueous bodies with little effort (to save on human muscle power when necessary), and a sophisticated sailplan to make good use of whatever wind existed."
