The goal of Resistance and Liberation is to realistically portray the events and actions taken by the 82nd Airborne during their stay in Normandy. Our initial release will follow the regiments through a campaign that mimics that followed by the men themselves. The campaign will begin with players dropping into Normandy in the early hours of June 6th, with the ultimate objective of capturing the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise. From there subsiquent maps will include missions based on other key areas after the D-Day.

I'd love to play this but the DOF absolutely murders my framerate.

We don't have DOF effects. O_o Do you mean the draw distance?

No. I'm not really sure what it is then, but something about this mod just drops me down to 9 FPS.

This looks amazing. And to add the icing to an amazing cake, it's free! This is infinitely better than Call of Duty

Oh yes. I love this mod, probably the most immersive experience I've had. Really, really great teamwork is possible.
And it really is a very beautiful mod, as the dude said, the fields and the nature is done really well.
And the freeaiming... God I love the free aiming, you never see people going pray-n-spray at mid-long range, and... WELL GOD DAMN I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT

Not sure about the ability to pick up enemy weps though, I liked the pressure it caused that you had limited ammo and had to be careful on how you spend it.

Really hope I can get my mic working in this so that I can work in a team as much as possible, I used to play fine with it in RnL and it really added to the experience.

It will be cool if you can take prisoners, because Darkest Hour mod won't do it yet.

You could, but whether or not trigger-happy Tom will shoot them or not is another story.

I mean you must obey a rule of the server, if the makers of the game want it, they could make a new patch or some sort. For example, capturing of a enemy prevents him spawning on the map, a longer time (a 20 seconds for example).

Hunnicutt and our newest addition to the team, Robinson, picked up Mujrphy's slack and made a video that shows off some key changes since the last patch.

Check it out and feast your eyes on some of the things coming to you this week in the 1.6 patch.

Some of the information in the video is a bit dated, so here are a couple notes:
1. The BAR mag top texture has been fixed.
2. The BAR sprint animation speed has been fixed. (Was way too fast)
3. MG42 idle animation has been adjusted.
4. The browning was not remodeled.
5. The browning wasn't reskinned either.
6. The fist animations are temporary and have since been (and will continue to be) modified.
7. There are probably other things that have changed already as well, so keep your eyes out
