Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

It has taken a while but hopefully this update will inform you guys on the project's progress as well as answer some of the questions that have been fluttering about. I've broken this into categories so it is easier to read.

Current Status / ETA
We have been hard at work on the upcoming expansion since June and have much to show for it. We have 6 active team members working on the project as of today (excluding testers). The plan is to have a testing period run for between one and two weeks before the final (v1.2) release. For this, we will need a few extra bodies on the testing team. We aren't accepting new testers as of yet but you can expect an announcement to be made, regarding that, fairly soon. As it has been mentioned many times on the main page, our goal is to release this year. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to guarantee any sort of time frame but, regardless of the outcome, we will be working as hard as we can to meet this tentative deadline.

Deliverables (what we have done and what is left to do)
So, what can you expect from all of this? Here is an idea of what we've done, so far:
- Over 550 balance adjustments (fully tested, stop asking :P)
- 2.5MB worth of NEW code
- 12 new buildable units (more to come)
- 2 new indigenous species (1 more to come)
- 2 new planets (1 more to come)
- 900MB worth of NEW art content (models, skins, cinematics, etc)
- 100MB worth of NEW audio (with more on the way)
- 12 new props (a couple left to finish)
- Adjusted AI that are more worthy of their titles.
Hopefully this reveals the immense amount of work that we've done and what to expect, as far as new content goes.

Easter Egg Hunt
WE DO NOT HAVE A WINNER YET! We have had 3 individuals come ever so close to winning yet all 3 have not found the required 8/10 easter eggs to win the contest.

For those of you who have been sleeping under bantha fodder for the last 6 months, we are allowing a single community member to select the last user-requested unit to squeak its way into one of the future content packages. The winner of the easter egg hunt gets this privilege.

Remember, easter eggs should be obvious (when you see them) and you can ONLY find them by actually playing the game. There is no need to look through the game files, as it won't help you.

The Installer
If we could go back in time and fix one thing, it would be the installer. The short of it is that we have replaced the old "semi-auto" installer software with a much better solution, this time around. It will make it easier for those of you who had troubles installing the current v1.1 package.

A "RAW Assistant" application was developed and will be included with the 1.2 release package. It allows players to easily update their game (with the Lucasasts August update), clean up their game folders (for multiplayer compatibility) as well as uninstall RAW to play vanilla FOC with those who do not have RAW installed.

We will only be offering a single full-installation exe to both help simplify the process as well as clear up any possible user-error compatibility issues (for a seamless online play experience).

We will be releasing a revised manual that will both include new content as well as clear up issues with the original texts. We welcome your help and you can report any errors that you find on our forums.

Game Organizer
As many have requested, we have developed a service for the community to organize multiplayer sessions. Once it is ready, we'll be hosting it on In the mean time, you can try out the current build HERE. Remember that we're watching for any abuse of the service; have fun but be responsible.

If you can get FOC working on Hamachi, RAW will work too.
It WILL be easier to install for players with the Steam client.
There may or may not be additional performance improvements; I can't say for sure.

Honestly, the stuff I'd like to see? Strengthening of the Acclamators (ATM the most useless ship in the whole game!) A Republic equivalent of the CIS' Commando droids (Buildable Commando squads??) Maybe throw in Omega squad, but fans will tear you to pieces if you don't get it right (maybe safest to leave them out =P) Something to equal the Lukrehulk ship maybe (either that, or someone give me some tips on taking them down early in the game!) Also, it would be neat if the LAAT/i could deploy a squad of clones! Sort of like the ARC Gunship, but from the regular one and buildable in GC. Anyway, can't wait! Vode An!
