Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Yeah... at the beginning of testing, the only reasonable and good Rep ship was the venator... but Testing continually improved through patches brought by Z and now everything is nice :D

How imbalanced was it before it was improved? By looking at many previous pics posted by Z, the Republic looked as though it was vastly underpowered compared to the CIS in space combat.
To my knowledge of Star Wars canon, both fleets were mighty and had differing tactics from one another. I know the Venator was supposed to be the equal to 3-4 Munificent or Recusant's, and that a Providence is roughly the equal of a Venator. Bulwarks were powerful ships that were countered by the Victory class. Last but not least Lucrehulks were heavily shielded and well armoured vessels that carried an immense number of droid starfighters.
If the mod is balanced in such a way that it is true to canon then it should all work out nicely :)

How many hardpoints will venator have ? hmm
there are these 8 turbolasers (4 at each side) and i believe 7 other weapon hardpoints around..... 2 point defense lasers...2 normal laser cannons...a proton torpedo launcher.. and of course the engines and shields
Its hard to see but the Venators Turrets DO rotate, track and fire on ships. When you zoom in you can see them move.
Good, it was dumb seeing the ISD's not having any, even with mods that added turbo laser battery's 4 on each side, and there was nothing there.

know i probably sound like a noob asking this but are there spha-t's for land?
Trust me guys if the have a capital ship and u don't have a venator there u lost.I tried everything the capital ships spawn about 10 squadrons of each type fighters and bomber and the just take out everything u send acmator ,missile firgate,bomers,fighters every thing.ITS IMPOSIBLE..BUt on land rep has most advantage expet heros and artilery

next to the venator icon on the unit panel there is that big red button like the one for the eclipse in FOC, is that a similar function (super weapon)?
I don't remember the SPHA-T cannon could shoot at THAT angle...
Thought it was only forward fire :/
