Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
This is a concept for our new installer.
A new installer with useful feature will help you to install Republic at War correctly and will avoid missmatches in Online or LAN modus.
The installer will auto-detect your Path where FoC is installed and uses this path as default directory.
Nice.
much much better than the least way to install. hopefully this wont cause people problems. I remember, it took me 3 days and alot of help from youtube to install this game. BUT thanks to this mod, i learned how to install any mod. almost any mod.
What he said :)
I'm lucky enough to have Windows Vista, I installed it correctly on the first try.
3 Days? WTF! OOH you on windows 7?
yep, thats what caused my problem, and the files were in odd places and everything, thats why i go thank the gaming lord in the console if theres and automatic installer and i dont have to do anyting
Thats whats been putting me off W7. I suppose I can install two OS and keep XP for games that run on it better like this one.
Are u sure? I needed for the install only 5 minutes. And i have Win 7 too.
I am on W7 and it didn't take a fraction of that time to install this mod.
Is this a hint... :)
Well it's good that you are working on a new installer but it's also sad how much you have to dumb things down for people to understand...
I installed this mod on the first try without any problems, and it worked ever since. It's still on my computer :P
Same here
I had a small problem with the AI, but fixed it soon afterwards (made a silly installation mistake xD).
Note that its always easier to do when you know how. I remember when I first installed a mod (like, ever xD). It was for FoC and was, coincidentally, Z3rox's one (the other one). I spent hours trying to get it to work :P
Well I'll chose ,,Typical'', who else? ^^
"Custom"...as always :P
Great work guys
"MAIM,KILL,BURN...MAIM,KILL,BURN"
you should do this btw. there are some things in custom install you might want to install ;) well add this into the description
Does it work for the steam version of the game ?
cant say that ... i dont have the steam version. ill see what i can do ...
