Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

It strikes me as an oddly designed and proportioned ship. (that's not a judgment of the model quality, just an assessment of the design.)

It is sort of a combination of republic warships (e.g. venators, acclamators) and their smaller diplomatic vessels (e.g. Consular vessels). That's my view on it. The Aquentis class is supposed to be a halfway point between the two other groups.

It actually performs better than the Acclamator I (even though the Acclamator has been beefed up for 1.2).

So the Acclamator is getting buffed up a little, eh?

Good to hear. Also, looks great.

I think it should be more agile and more firepower but no starfighters

Really looks nice. Will the GC lag/slow down be fixed too?

isnt this the kind of ship used by obi wan as bait in an attempt to catch Grievous? which ended up in both this ships destruction as well as Grievous' Recuscant?

The Republic Cruiser, which is what this is, was meant to fill the roll between a heavy corvette and a frigate like the Acclamator. Its weapon layout can be seen later on in the GCW in the Corellian warships produced for the Corporate Sector. It is better than the Acclamator in all but a few ways, 1 it does not have any carrier capacity other than shuttles and escape pods, and it is not meant as a transport. In terms of a warship, it is lighter then the Venators but far more powerful then an Acclamator which was designed for ground to air defense.

if i were the head of the republic research department a would expand the gap at the front of the ship and reinforce it enabling it to ram into large vessels kinder like the droid boarding ships
