Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

When updating, downloading, and play multiplayer, you will need an internet connection.

So the launcher wont try to update and refuse to launch the game?

Its a concern to me since a mod for AOE3 uses a fancy launcher, and it actually downloads the mod proper, and it wont recognize the manual installation they offer. So, gotta make sure :P

No promise, but I don't think it'll try to update, or even cause the mod to be unplayable.

What translations do you plan to do? I can potentially, if you plan to do it, do the Dutch language, as I know Dutch very well.

Hi again!
As I asked earlier: Is there any chance that Windows XP might be able to run this? It would be a pity if there isn't any possibility as I play on XP right not without any problems...
Thankful for an answer!

Description

Hello guys.
Today we would like to give you some detailed information about the new launcher that will come with the release of Republic at War 1.2.
The launcher will be a multifunctional tool that will allow you to perform several tasks with or around the Republic at War 1.2 and any other versions in the future. More details, what these functions are, will be given below.
Through twitter we posted a few updates about the development state. The moment I'm writing this text the launcher is completely done, if you count testing (which you really should, and which will do during beta).
We will bring you the launcher as a single download or contained in other download options we will provide with the next release.
We will post some more information about how to install and make it run, but we can forewarn you that you need to place it into the root directory of Forces of Corruption.
This version will replace the old launcher which came version 1.1.5. We added much more depth into functionality, durability, performance, and usability.

Here is the feature list:

General:
- System Information: You need to have at least Windows Vista SP2 and .NetFramework 4.5.1 installed but we recommend Windows 7 SP1, or higher and .NetFramework 4.6, or higher
- Improved Usability: We tweaked all functions to be more usable. As an example you can abort time consuming tasks, if you'd like to. Also by using all cores of your system tasks will be completed much faster
- Supports every game: No matter if you have installed the Disk-Versions, the Gold-Disk-Version or Steam. All Platforms are equally supported.
- Forums and Moddb hotlinks: You will be able to quick-access both Eeaw.com and our Moddb-Page.
- Multi language Support: By now the launcher supports English, German and Spanish. If you want to have your language for the launcher (or RaW) do not hesitate to contact me.
