Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
The two sides fight it out in open terrain. Displays some of the new blaster particle effects.

I like the new muzzle flashes, must look awesome from high above :) Though I will criticize that the projectiles feel somewhat too gaseous to me. And I can't wait to see the animations :D
what the clones don't realize is that they are sacrificing the droids so the clones won't turn around to see the O MY GOD THERE IS A BIG *** BOLDER HEADING STRAIGHT FOR US!!!!

Only when they have mor numbers.... It is a pure fact that clones are superior to battle droids. Hell, the Clone Army was considered to be one of the most efficent, if not, the MOST effiecnt military forces to have ever existed.

wrong. episode 1-2 clearly showed b-1 battle droids taking cover or kneeling down in battle. its only canon in the shows.
Kneeling maybe but standing behind a supply crate doesn't count.
actually in episode 1 in the palace when amidala was pushing towards viceroy when she got into a firefight with b-1 you can see the droids using the pillar as cover. shooting from cover then going back into cover.
It's just more likely to see a clone attempt to protect himself than a droid.
yeah granted its just going to be annoying that i would have to send 15 squads of battledroids just to kill 2 squads.

Only in some cases, most of the time you see them walking forward shooting.
so do clone troopers, in the battle for kassyhk clone troopers were kneeling down on the beach head when there was a perfectly good trench right behind them. In the battle for geonosis they were in line formation just like the droids. The same in the battle for mygeeto. The only difference is that clone troopers were way better shots and could think. The droids are very cheap but there not completely useless.

rofl.. i laughed at you're comment. especially when it was regarding kassyhk xD although, i do partially disagree with the geonosis mention as they were in the middle of a bloody desert.. i doubt clones are going to be like.. "squad! take cover behind those crates!" in the middle of a desert. also, as a republic fan myself, i agree how droids are portrayed pathetically and rather incompetent in the clone wars cartoon series.. sure their droids.. but im sure their programmed to think "oh, i'm getting shot at, i should take cover" or "i should tactically advance and not march straight to my death"
i wish they went for for more of the classic clone wars cartoon it didn't make the droids retarted just single minded(and yes theres a difference)and it was all serious and gritty and believable. Now they portray droids as nothing but clowns and the clone troopers the "valient knights. protectors of the galaxy!"annnddd then caused a horrible genocide of a religous group. And regarding geonosis i do agree with you but there could have been a boulder or 2 that they could have hid behind somewhere.
The Mygeeto scene portrayed the clones on the tiny bridge with apparently no cover to hide behind. Plus, alot of them were technically ''taking cover'' behind Mundi. The Kashyyyk scene, I don't think all the clones would fit in those trenches, plus in the military not all infantry get put in the same line of cover. There are various positions they could be at. And Geonosis, it potrayed them in the large open desert, I'm sure if it was in a more, ''enclosed'' enviourment they would take cover. Thats what the B2s were made for. They don't need cover, as they have heavier armor/equipment.
