Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Well given that 1 Venator is about the equal to 3 or 4 Munificent's or Recusant's, and the fact that logically the Republic won't be bringing a small fleet themselves, I say they have just as good a chance as the CIS winning the battle. Plus it all depends on strategy really. Usually the player controlled faction will win over the AI.

Who says you have to play against the AI? ;)

Tonarion May 21 2011, 2:12am replied:

not in this mod. a venator can be taken down by 2 munificient unless he uses his special abilities.

also, the AI got so improved that even if you outnumber the enemy you can still get your *** kicked

All this stuff about the AI is getting me pumped. I can't wait to have those "F*** how did he know that was my weak spot?" moments.

your weak spot will be actually the numbers of enemys you will fight against .... expecially as rep its practically hard not to be outnumbered :D

Thats a bit...odd since the Venator is spost to be the war horse of the republic and since we see in the movies a republic venator taking down the invisible hand with ease.

They DO have a good general, General Grevious. As stated in many stories, General Grevious has constantly been the one who single-handely turned the tide of many battles. Without him, the CIS wouldn't be as succesful in their attacks. And yes, I agree, never underestimate the CIS Navy.
