Deathwatch Heavy Tank image - Republic at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

It reminds me of the mammoth tank from Command and Conquer 3.
I agrre I was just playing C&C 3 Tiberian Wars and it is almost exacly the same. I love that tank in C&C and I'm sure I will love it in Star Wars!!! HURRAY!!! It would be great if it would have this "laser guns" from C&C when it was upgraded.

Abrams have a gallons per mile rate of 4 if im not mistaken
I spy at least three different weapon systems on that beast. Is it going to have a missile/cannon ability like the T4-B? Maybe even periodically firing those smaller weapons at infantry like the 2M Repulsor tank?

This is neat. It reminds of the Mammoth Tank from Command & Conquer. From where did you get this design, Z?
Actually the concept is not from C&C although I imagine C&C was of some inspiration for the concept. However the design is unique on its own. As far as weapons go it has dual heavy plasma cannons. Twin heavy repeating blasters and of course a rocket pod. Again, as time goes on we will be doing more and more unique vehicles for Deathwatch. We hope to show you the Shadow Combat Speeder soon, and the Landing Craft. As well as the Deathwatch version of the LAAT which is VERY COOL.

Cant wait for 1.2. Gona be awsome whit some new units, and some more balance, even though i cant really bother of the balance, easy enogh for me on all lvl´s. Cant see why so many have a problem dealing whit the AI. Its not that hard
well as the republic it is because the CIS rapes you :( But i am sure that will be fixed in 1.2 :)

Just to throw a huge wrench in everyone's thoughts on the 4 tread design, the first design utilizing 4 treads was back during Russia's experimental days during WWII, they built several designs that utilized 4 separate treads due to the mammoth size of the tank, it was intended to assist in turning and power displacement.
Clones and droids dont run they just look at that and say DAYUM!
