CIS shipyard wreckage & Pride of the Core image - Republic at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
Well, I felt like there were too many pictures involving the CIS winning, so I wanted to post some of the Republic invading with the Pride of the Core and wiping out a level 5 CIS station above Geonosis.
I know. It looks very overwhelming and you'd think that it would lag like crazy, but actually, it didn't lag at all and the game runs smoothly, even when you have this epic explosion on screen :)
Also, sorry that the pics are a bit blurry. I just copied them by printing the screen and pasted and saved them in paint.

Good question, it's attached to one of the PotC special abilities, I think it's the tractor beam.

Horrible!!!!!!!!! you just destroyed my opinion on the mod with those screenshots!!! there can be no fire in space!!!!!!!!!!! especialy that big!!! and with smoke!!!!!!!!!! going up!!!! where is up exactly in space?? thats sad and i had high hopes for the mod

Why is space fire coming from a ship so hard to accept? I mean there was massive amounts of oxygen in that ship. If the ship blows then the life support and all of that oxygen goes with it. Thus the fire.
People will accept sounds in space, but fire is just impossible? Clearly they are in the atmosphere.

You guys do know that;
A. There could be tons of oxygen in the station/ship, or the space surrounding it (because of other ships WITH OXYGEN IN THEM being destroyed)
and
B. Allmost every EAW space battle takes place over a planet. Allmost every Planet in Star Wars = oxygen.
If I remember correctly, there was fire and flaming ships at the Battle of Coruscant- due to the battle not actually being in space, but in the planet's upper atmosphere. If z3r0x chose to insert these flame effects, perhaps that is the case here as well.
dont you get that the oxygen would simply burn out in a second??? that is if fire is even possible at the freezing space temperature. besides if the oxygen would be sucked out of the ship because of the vacuum i doubt it would be concentrated enough to fuel a fire.
Dude, it's not a big deal. It looks cool and if Z chooses to get rid of it, it's his choice not yours.
