Dibelius confirmed over a year ago that his mod is dead and with no way of contacting him; is riping assets a moral issue or salvaging?

Go through every possible channel you can to try and contact him, though you probably already have from what I've looked up.

It's usually the safest bet to not to take silence as a yes, could you possible remodel it from scratch and texture it using own made skins then credit him with the concept? I'd even model it if you really wanted!

I have not created models for any games past Generals since C&C stopped being compatible with Gmax :(

If you want to recreate it. I am all for that option. I always thought it moved a little funny anyway. Horseshoe crabs come to mind when I think about how I would like it to move.

Agreed; salvage but credit. And keep contingency plans in case he arises from the depths and says no. The content serves no one if it's kept in a tomb.

I found his Youtube channel he is still active. I asked him something and he responded.
