R.E.A.R.M. - "Rearmament Expansion And Redesign Mod" is an unofficial Homeworld 2 expansion and it adds number of new interesting and various units.
One of the last frigate Vaygr will get - the Support Frigate. This is the harmless version with space for 2 squadron of fighters, or command or minelayer corvettes (the single corvettes, not those in squadrons). The second version will be armed with forward facing laser battery (the laser corvette style, not beams), but with only room for 1 squadron.
The very last frigate will be the Laser Frigate (armed with 4 lance beams), but I still don't have a clear idea about the design of it.
There may be some another frigate in the future, but Vaygr already have a s---load of frigates, when I count it with those I've just named, It's 10. 12 if you're counting the two Artillery presets into it, which is pretty enough, considering, that Vaygr are not the frigate race at all.
That looks great, keeps the aggressive Vaygr look.

(I like how in this pic it kinda looks like all that nebula-glow is coming from the engines, nice).
I had a concept for only one version at first, but I just couldn't leave that nose without any weapons, so the second will have lasers.
And yes, it does look like the glow is coming from the engines.

Just a personal quip and it probably wouldn't make it look better at all but maybe you can narrow it down to one fin instead of the 2 plates on the front 1/3rd of it to keep that vaygr style. Vaygr style reminds me of an arabic blade so I always think sharp but smooth. However it is a support frigates and support frigates in all games look like clunkers lol. Or perhaps follow the same design of the side plating underneath the back third of it? But instead of putting it on the side just have the 2 fins come out the bottom, if that makes sense.
