This add-on for OFP clearly demonstrated the real image of the Soviet Army and the NATO Armed Forces in the time period from 1969 to 1991.
The mod is a grandiose work, which allowed to achieve unsurpassed entertainment and realism of the OFP / ArmA: CWA gameplay . The Real Cold War Crisis (RCWC) mod is the result of the collective work of the following addon and mod makers: Special Soldier, FOXlauncher, st90 (SovietKoT), alexanbros40, BAZ, Nimus, Hopser, NERV, Stalker.2011.
As it became known, the first idea to create this mod for Operation Flashpoint/ArmA: Cold War Assault appeared in 2009, but its implementation was started only three years later.
The project team included in the Real Cold War Crisis mod several full-fledged campaigns, over 50 single missions, as well as a collection of addons of NATO units and vehicles, rebels and civilians corresponding to a similar time period.
Undoubtedly, this modification clearly demonstrates the high level of organization of the Operation Flashpoint / ArmA: CWA gaming community , the professionalism of individual enthusiasts and significantly expands the capabilities of the basic version of the game. The OFP mod: RCWC can be classified as one of the fundamental works in the history of the Russian OFP community.

Note from the uploader: I do not own this mod. I'm just uploading this mod since I can't access to VK due to sanctions. Maybe others can't access VK can play this mod without VK.

Does this version have an english localization? Cause this is originally a russian mod.
It does but some missions and campaigns does not contain english translation for it and you know this is a russian mod.

System requirements:
The installed working version of the OFP is 1.99
Free disk space of at least 12 GB
Installation Instructions:
DOUBLE ATTENTION! before installing the new version of the mod, delete the old version - the @RCWC folder in the root directory of the game and the folder with missions \Missions\RCWC (to avoid version conflicts)
Attention! Unpack (extract) the archive to the root directory of the OFP.
We kindly ask you not to rename the root folder of the mod (@RCWC)
Launch Instructions:
Create a launch shortcut from the exe file located in the archive with the mod and add the parameters "-nomap -nosplash -mod=@RCWC" in the properties of the shortcut in the "object" field
The result will be something like:
F:\ColdWarAssault\RCWC.exe -nomap -nosplash -mod=@RCWC
Attention! If the path to the game directory contains spaces or Cyrillic letters, the path will be enclosed in quotation marks. The parameters should be added after the quotation marks. For example:
"F:\My games\OFP\RCWC.exe " -nomap -nosplash -mod=@RCWC
mod seems extremely broken, crashes at mission selection when I open RCWC folder, tons of missing config entries, and broken text on 1985 Returning campaign.
the broken text you are talking about is actually the russian language and its just that your game is unable to read it properly

Are there any install instructions? I'm trying to install the mod with the plus and CSLA addons but i can't figure out how
go to properties and launch options then type this -nosplash -mod=@RCWC;@RCWC_Plus;
