Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

Honestly it is a bit blocky. The glass cylinder looks hard-faceted.
Though it is only a third version of vorti-cell I've seen, so it is a nice start.

P.S. I suspect the cells were rather re-designed than cut. The device in Nova Prospekt is basically doing the same thing to a vort in it.

Wow, excellent atmosphere; I can almost *smell* the beta feel :D

@Cvoxalury Now that I look at it, perhaps the apartment block on the right is a bit overbearing (no side alleys, crevices, openings etc.), but the faceted-ness of the cylinder is alright.

Pretty good, but the cell deserves more detail, perhaps having the vortigaunt strapped inside laying back instead of standing.

Looks great but detail-wise, that building's texture is bad.
I mean, you need to create seperate sections of the building so it looks like an actual building, not a brick-wall filled with windows.

Perhaps it's a factory though....

IDK

I think the vorticella could use some work. I think it should be strapped in, so it's not just standing there getting the life sucked out of it.

Description

The first version of the industrial street with the vorti-cells(this machine was deleted before the retail version was released, but in the original story this gives energy to the Combine from captured Vortigaunts).
