Quake1: Source is an entire remake of the original Quake1 on the Source Engine, our aim is to recreate this masterpeice of a game and bring it to life on the source engine, with updated graphics, enhanced models, high resolution textures and physics.
a bit of news for you all, over the past week or so there has been a few talks between myself and a couple of people from the DMC:S team, after a couple of days of talking things over, Q1:Source has been absorbed by the DMC:S team (moddb page Moddb.com ) this move comes after we realised that both were working towards the same goal, so instead of having 2 mods going head to head and doing twice the work, we figured it would make everyone's lives easier to become one and make one solid mod instead of two.
so now, you can find the project at this moddb page here:https://www.moddb.com/mods/deathmatch-classic-source2
this is important news, and unfortunately, bad news at that...........

Quake got a graphical remaster, but damn this looked neat despite the fact there ain't much content about it..
dead?
I personally havent beat quake but i played some and its awesome so i wanna beat it with this :D
Last update was over a year ago, I'm assuming it's dead.
RIP
Huh, I just scrolled around looking for some mods and then
QUAKE 1 SOURCE
couldn't believe when I saw with my own eyes, but, yes, it's there ad I hope it will be neat, not to say awesome!
Well, the maps look bulky ATM, but it's in an early phase, i guess, so nevwer mind and good look dude.
The map looks great, I'll definitely be watching this project, but there would be a lot of unnecessary work being done. There's a Deathmatch Classic Source mod being made, which would really just be the same thing.

Perhaps you could get in contact with Triggs (The lead) and get some kind of merge going on to prevent having to do all the work twice, which would also increase the chance of this getting finished. It kills me to watch these Quake/DMC Source mods come and go when I look forward to them so much. :(
ive sent a message to the owner of that mod but unfortunately i have no received a reply back for 2 days, so i can only assume that they arent interested in a merger :(
He may just not know, I don't think he ever checks his steam account IM's, probably doesn't check any other account IM's either. :p I left a comment on their ModDB recommending it the other day though, I assume he will notice that eventually. I could leave a message on his Steam page or something, but I doubt he'll read that either.
From what I saw, you were doing great back when this was active originally, and doing things that they have yet to even consider. I've been waiting for a DMC/Quake Source mod for probably 5 years now, so hopefully some kind of collaboration happens to increase the chances of getting a decent mod released.
I see you talkin' 'bout me. I see you. @_@
hopefully, i really need a coder/programmer at the moment, thats top priority really, but if we can make one solid mod, then that would be fantastic
