Prison Island will take the player deep into the expanses of a huge prison built by a power hungry super-nation. Choosing their own style of game play, the player will be able to complete the storyline the way they see fit. With a variety of custom weapons, props and enemies prison island aims to immerse the player in an epic story.
So this is a WIP of how far 3xi got with the prison already.

Also, they're right about the wooden crates and the textures, but not the lighting. I love it like that. Anyways, architectures' great, gameplay looks as though it'll be great. I love the concept of dodging.
This looks very good. Just a few things bother me: Textures are worn unevenly; the F5 on the floor is in perfect condition while the railings barely have any paint left on them. I'm not sure I like the floor lighting, but if you stick with it I think it would look a little better if you made it less warm. Also, it doesn't make much sense to have crates stacked randomly around what appears to be a functioning prison cafeteria. Doesn't a huge prison like this have any closets or store rooms?
It might be meant to look like that, because if you look closely, its consistent all the way around.
For the f5 - the whole floor is going to be replaced with model geometry and some parts will have a worn f5 painted on them. This overlay is a placeholder. The rails will also re replaced by our own rails. They too are only placeholders :)
As for the creates:

Looks like something out of red faction guerilla. Makes me want to break it all. :P
The boxes seem a little bit out of place. I wouldn't trust prison inmates with wooden crates nailed together and prone to splintering. Other than that, I love it. It reminds me of Escape from Butcher Bay.

I agree...brushwork looks great but everything else needs help.
Railing looks like **** compared to the awesome futuristic textures (maybe brush-based railing would work better or use Alien Swarm's railing models). The painted numbers on the floor look out of place on that particular floor texture (should be a matte floor, not a grate-looking thing). The point_spotlights just look bad and are way too strong (lower the HDR scale down to .25 and reduce the length by 75%). And there is just no color here, it only looks that way because the spotlights are yellow. Hang some blue lights or a red lamp or something, ugh.
I agree with the spotlight thing.

No, that sign is head hight. I think you might be thrown out of perspective by that hand rail, but those boxes stacked next to it are about 6ft.
