Our type of “old school” is a very different breed than the type encountered in today’s “old school”. Yes, there are similarities; We too have upped the action, speed and gore, but not to the extreme lengths seen in the new Doom game. Our levels are built for exploration, progression and environmental puzzles. These are our main qualities. Phobos is closer to games like Half-Life or Dark Forces/Jedi Knight in spirit. Just like Classic Doom, these games are types of First Person Shooters that have all but vanished. We truly are a different kind of oldschool.

Just to let you all know we made a Twitter and Facebook page for ourselves. And also updated our website and our Moddb page.

The idea with our Twitter and Facebook is that you can follow the team on a daily basis with what we are doing. The team will tweet about stuff we are working on, great articles about modding or game development and other interesting things we see, talk or play while making Doom 3: Phobos

On the website we removed our forums. Forums are not always good. In our case it did not give us anything except bots. This does not look very professional, so we decided to remove it. You will still see the devblogs on the website though. Instead we now have a Twitter feed on our website, so you can follow us there if you do not have a Twitter account. We also updated the info around the page to fit our current goals.

With our Moddb page we tried to make it a little bit more unique by having the Arachnotron be on the front page. And also updated the summary to fit our goals here aswell.
