Our type of “old school” is a very different breed than the type encountered in today’s “old school”. Yes, there are similarities; We too have upped the action, speed and gore, but not to the extreme lengths seen in the new Doom game. Our levels are built for exploration, progression and environmental puzzles. These are our main qualities. Phobos is closer to games like Half-Life or Dark Forces/Jedi Knight in spirit. Just like Classic Doom, these games are types of First Person Shooters that have all but vanished. We truly are a different kind of oldschool.

Question, as someone who enjoyed Doom 3's original gameplay and look, will I be able to play this as more of an expansion than a drastic game changing mod? Hope I make sense if I'm not I am wanting to know if this will be more like resurrection of evil than something different.

It's not all that drastically different. It's not as straight forward an expansion as ROE was, but it's still very much a Doom3 expansion. We do narration a little differently and our levels are bigger, have more puzzles etc., but at the end of the day you're still going to be facing imps and revenants ;)
