You are on vacation in the south of France, invited by an old friend who settled there a few year ago. Not far from the village stills stand the ruins of a very old castle, set on top of a massive rocky spur. Not much remains of the ancient fortress but a few collapsed walls already erroded by time. Yet you've decided to give it a closer look, after all the view from the top of that mountain would be breathtaking by itself. You are there, wandering amongst these old stones, when the rain starts pouring down. You are looking for some shelter, when suddenly...

  • Many notes (hope you like to read: I like to write)
  • Many puzzles to solve.
  • 3-5hours of gameplay (depending on your pace/wits/choices)
  • 10 maps from medium to huge, over 40 rooms.
  • 3 alternative endings depending on the choices you make.
  • Best played in the dark, with low gamma and headphones, alone (and obviously turn off the useless hints of the game.)
  • Only available in English version.
  • Detailled PDF walktrough inside the CS folder.

This is my first Custom Story.

I've been working on it for a whole year, on my spare time. I hope you'll enjoy.

I know this has been a long time, but if anyone still has the hammer and chipper issue and is still playing this masterpiece, here's how I fixed it.

Go to: Amnesia: The Dark Descent > custom_stories > Peiraprigond > maps. Open the "inventory" file with wordpad, then you will see this:

void OnGameStart()
AddCombineCallback("stonechipperhammer", "stone_hammer_1", "stone_chipper_1", "CombineHammer", false);

All you have to do here is remove "false" at the end and type in "true" instead. And there you go, hammer and chipper can be combined.

Be warned, when I did this, it caused all my saves to be deleted. This includes the main story and all custom stories, but it was well worth it to finish this gem.

had same issue with hammer and chipper. Some parts were a bit frustrating but overall this was still a pretty cool mod.

I was unable to complete the story due to the hammer & chipper issue, but I give this mod a 10 because it is awesome!

Enjoyed this CS and also feared some parts too. However, there are some things you could improve: --> Use more paragraphs in the letters to make them more appellative to read: people will look at the walls of text and be turned off immediately, relying in the mementos instead, only to find later that the letters actually had hints in the middle of the text. --> Some stuff was really hard to find like the crowbar and the key in the excavation site.
