Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
An ability which can be researched once one point has been placed in the 'Garden' tech tree, Will of the Garden links all frigate sized combat vessels of Kadeshi Origin together, allowing them to share damage among each other and thus survive far more punishment than usual for such a small ship class.
Requires a lengthy recharge after being active.
Capture 5 or 7 of those in HW I and you won't be short in firepower for the rest of the game.
Sadly this is not HW1...they still pack a punch, but they're on level with the Hiigaran IonFrig, even stronger with the right upgrade choices.
But when playing against the Kadeshi, you might aswell try to capture some of those...they won't make it easy for you. ;)
The issue is less their damage but some accuracy... issues... which are probably due to the way some of the ships are built. I'll have to look at these sooner or later, though allowing it to turn faster has helped marginally.
Firepower wise, the MBF is way over any other Ion Frig but the Keeper Hunter.
You made them share hitpoints? HOW THE F- DID YOU DO THAT?
--You manage to do all sorts of things I thought couldn't be done in HW2. My hat's off to you for that.
They don't really share HP - the average health of all ships is simply applied to all frigates ever few seconds, which results in much the same their HP pool combining.
HW2 gamerule scripting is very flexible. Limited, but you can do a lot with some coding experience.
