But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
The Taiidan Kudaan Class Assault Frigate is an evolution of the original Kudaark Class Assault Frigate used during the first homeworld war.
The Kudaan carries much the same armament as the original Imperial Assault frigate. Modernization in the Gun Turrets and Plasma Cannons have lead to a superior design to the old Kudaark frigate. However in principal this newer version of the Taiidan Assault Frigate is in every aspect the same as its predecessor which proved itself as an excellent workhorse in conflicts spanning over 150 years.
Given that track record, a large scale redesign was not considered sensible by the Imperial High Command. If anything can be learned from the past it is that any Taiidan Fleet will operate with at least a small number of Kudaan Assault Frigates to provide vital offensive fire support.

Is that literally the HW1 model imported into HW2?
No it's a remake of the model designed to look as much like the HW1 one as I could make it.

Nah, I couldn't find any links to any of the models there and didn't want to wait days for a response on a ship that would take me only a few hours to make.
However as usual I'm willing to share most* of my work with whoever asks.
