Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
It took some experimenting but I finally got a frigate chassis that I like and fits the kadeshi quite nicely.
Presenting the Kadesh Multigun Frigate, your religious nutcase answer to any pesky fighters or corvettes your swarmers can't deal with. This frigate is designed to offer maximum forward coverage from three turrets, each turret armed with four splinter cannons.
The multigun frigate has one hell of a rate of fire and its shots are deadly but it has a slight problem with accuracy. Given the rapid firing of all the splinter cannons, the weapons tend to miss. Not that it matters much. Anything in front of one of these beasts will be torn to shreds if it isn't a frigate or larger.
Enjoy :)
Edit: The texture and goblins may undergo some small changes as I have the feeling something is lacking that breaks all the whiteness of the ship. Just don't know what yet.
Actually I rather like the whiteness of it.
I did another version with black lines in it which you can see in this Img210.imageshack.us image. Don't know which version will be final. They both have advantages and disadvantages it seems...
Really having trouble with kadeshi frigates for whatever reason. They just refuse to work the way I want them to.
NO! I like this one much better. But if you choose to do the black lines make them thinner and finer.
I agree with droideka95, I like the "whiter" version better. Adds to the "purity religious nutcase" theme. Though if you you decide to go with the other version, it would seem to fit with the "paint" scheme of the swarmers...
truthfully i perfer the one with the lines because it stays whith the idea that kadesh ships has a shell and not much of a hull. but i can agree with yall that the white looks better but i think that the lines on the other one needs the be a bit smaller and it will fit perfectly with the kadesh style.
I'm notdeciding one way or the other right now. I'll keep both texture versions and decide later, possibly experiment around a little, see how it comes out. I've had so many varied oppinions on this I can't really make up my mind now.
Hmm... all right, then no-black-lines version it will be. Just have to find some way to make the texture a liiitle less white all over as it really doesn't look very good (too simple, not enough variation).
Or maybe I will use the other version... damn, too late for me tonight. Have to sleep over it.
Maybe I can vary the 'type' of plating on the ship somehow... will give it some thought tomorrow if I have time.
add some well placed dark bold lines and make cables and stuff look through there ;)
you could also try to add some gradients to the larger skin parts.

I've been adding thin black lines. The real issue is the model wasn't designed to be plated really. I may scrap the texture and retexture the whole ship with a more plate-friendly model as a base.
I think that might be the solution to the problem. We'll see I gues...
Are you sure the Kadesh need anti-fighter units other than strikecraft? I mean, they already have super-deadly swarmers and podships, do you think they would have a need for an anti-fighter frigate? But, if you still want them to have an anti-fighter frigate, may I suggest you remodel the turrets to something like... hmmm... the Kushan ion cannon turrets from the destroyer? Same for the turrets on the Templar/Lance Cruiser.
Also, I dislike the lack of black lines, but I also dislike the over use of lines on the other version. I think you're right, the model will need to be changed to allow for better line locations. Furthermore, the overall model looks vary much like the Kushan Carrier and Heavy Cruiser. Maybe not a bad thing, but pointing that out. It's strikingly simular to the Kushan destroyer in the HW@ mod too.
I don't think it's 100% necessary to have a anti fighter frigate but otherwise they're only left with one frigate - the MBF (and the podship if you will) which makes buiding frigates almost pointless.
Seeing as both ships will use the same chassis, it's hardly wasted time (MBF and MGF I mean). And a remodel will have to be. No way around it. The model's just too simple for what I'm trying to texture on it.
