Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
The Kadeshi Gardener has recieved a nice little rework visually - and something more: When the correct tech combo is chosen as the Kadeshi, your gardeners can be upgraded to repair capships.
Known as the Gardeners of Kadesh, this upgrade requires three points in the 'Kadesh' tech tree and one in the 'Garden' tech tree.

I'm really incredibly sorry to say this...but I DON'T LIKE IT!
The new tank texture is good, but the old nozzle was way better. I know it has to double as a repair ship now...but I still would keep it the old way...what happened to the idea of the Sajuuk-infuenced Swarmer with Mover parts? Or How about a Gardener without the tank and with those top thingies the Mover got?
We're talking Kadesh and Garden here - nothing with sajuuk. I added the thingy on the bottom mainly because it looks like a stinger on a wasp or something, which is what this ship was designed to look like from the beginning.
Note the harvest FX is sorta unfinished - it's supposed to be like a vaccuum.
At the moment the effect looks like a welder... probably the repair effect. And I know it's K/G combo, I was just referring to the (probably my) orginal Idea.
Oh - THAT - yeah... I remember. For some reason that got lost. What did I replace it with? Can't even remember... think it was the SPIDER drones that stole my attention.
Yep - at the moment it is the repair FX. I haven't had time to work out what a vaccuum FX looks like or to make one quite yet.

right - sorry, I try not to be like that. If feedback on the nozzle is primarily negative from the rest of our little Kadeshi cult then I guess I'll change it.

The 'stinger' looks odd.. to be honest I think some pincers of some kind might be better? I dunno it just seems off haha
But its good to see this mod back in some form of visible forward motion!

I have to say that the tank doesnt follow any texture cues from the rest of the Kadesh race. Its much too simple, and the orange it uses as a primary form isnt present anywhere else on kadeshi ships.

No it wasn't! It was small enough not to cause suspcious thoughts and big enough to look like it was animated. True, it looked kinda odd when you zoom direct on the Gardener while it was collecting...but who except me ever does that?

Perhaps if you made TWO nozzels and had them coming out perpendicular to the crafts long axis, you could avoid the phalic fascination.
(OR, go crazy and have Six, looking like wasp-legs... just thinking out-loud now...)
