Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
Now, you're probably asking why on earth I'm showing you a Vaygr Bomber. I mean, the ship's been ingame since Homeworld 2 came out. Well, you may remember the Vaygr got a faction rework not long ago which introduced the Warlord Fleet.
They focus on hit and run tactics as well as disabling enemy ships.
Generally a Warlord ship will be able to either disable (e.g. Plasma Corvette) or deal damage (e.g. Mortar Corvette) but virtually none can do both at once... except the Attack Bomber.
Carrying two plasma cannons and a small anti-capital ship missile tube, the Warlord's Attack Bomber can both disable enemies as well as punish them with incredible burst damage, allowing you to use the Bomber in both hit and run operations as well as drawn out fights.
Combined with the speed boost upgrade and a little micromanagement, Warlord Attack Bomber Squadrons can be used to pick off enemy capital ships while suffering virtually no losses of their own.
Virtually no losses of their own?... clearly they have never been engaged by Kadeshi swarmers.
i believe the when the are engaged by Kadeshi swarmers the use the speed boost upgrade to run when the interceptors fights for then.
Well unless if the Kadeshi don't bother to follow them outside their precious nebula.
