The game takes place in the eve of the Seven Hour War. Fighting against blood shedding synths and frightening aliens, Adrian Shephard has to struggle his way with his fellow comrades from the Phoenix Command, with the main objective of stopping the construction of a Combine Citadel. In his journey he will find what has happened to the world, moments before the Seven Hour War.
Time to go Urbex with Corporal Shephard.
fixed a couple of things as requested. thanks for pointing them out!
Hm! Very cool! =)
wow this is awesome :D
Nice, very detailed. Pretty lights too.
that's better, now it truly looks abandoned
I agree.
(buried)
Never seen abandoned buildings, huh? I don't remember any have a holes at the floor...maybe there were stalkers with a box of grenades =/
(if they were, then they are stupid stalkers).
It's suppose to be destroyed; the combine are taking over.
A true masterpeice! I would love to have a gunfight there! Or with zombies...
Since almost the whole roof have collapsed, shouldnt there be more rubble?
there is a LOT of rubble. at first there was none, hence why i took the original pic off from moddb.
Why, it looks just like the destroyed buildings valve made - except 10 times better.
you'd think that since the roof had collapsed and it's abandoned, those windows wouldn't be intact.
they're missing most panels and 4 of them have holes in them. if that's intact for you i'd never want to visit your house.
Haha, MenteR...
wow at this point you're making my idea for Shepherd mod in the dust
Reminds me of that area in Half Life and TFC (in the Hunted map). Just a helluva lot better!
you're right! that's where i got the main idea from, even though it looks pretty different.
As I said before, the mapping looks really sweet, with those excellent textures, and the fog/smoke on the top part of the building which makes the ambient feel so good, i'm really impressed. I just wish those windows on the low part of the building weren't as perfect as they are, I mean, if the building is already like that, why would the windows look that intact? I suggest putting some destroyed windows, glass on the floor and maybe even some holes on the wall, because I think that the outside of the building should also look destroyed like the inside.
the windows are missing 80% of their panels, and at least 2 of them have huge holes for hobos and crackheads to crawl in at night. i still don't know why you guys think they're intact.
Maybe it is the angle?
Almost looks like something out of Killzone....tasty :)
Killzone is darker. Or you never ever played it.
cool!
IMO the scene looks good but I agree that I can see too much of the floor. It seems like scattering some medium-sized displacements using the rubble texture would make this look more "rubble-filled" without detracting from player movement or the general aesthetic. If anything, use displacements to make it look like rubble has been "pushed" or "swept" into the corners of the building by the rebels. I'm thinking of the final urban battle scenes in City 17 in Half-Life 2.
you dont collide with it. don't assume things.
Is this the one in the demo, remade ?
no
it's so cool!!
Very nice. But get new rubble models, the HL2 models have become overused and outdated sense VALVe didn't create many, and people overuse them.
hmmmm, where have i seen this before...? oh, thats right!!! HL2 Episode 1...
