Operation: Black Mesa is a total Source remake of Half Life: Opposing Force. Using the Source engine, the developers plan to recreate the Black Mesa research Facility as it was seen by Corporal Adrian Shephard of the H.E.C.U. Half-life: Opposing Force is still an amazing game, although it is not nearly as amazing as it was when it was released.

Goggles are there on helmet as standard part of the headgear. Gas mask is used during the actions in biohazard environments and soldiers will take it off when unnecessary, switching to combat goggles to protect their eyes (better field and quality of view). The same thing you would do in any modern war.

This looks really good, actually. Despite the following sentence being quite generic and overused: Better than the BM version. No seriously, i think it is. The BM version itself appears to differ quite a lot from the source material, looking more like a generic soldier that was reskinned to look a hecu marine than an actual one. This one, however, does not. The design is quite unusual and definitely reminds me of the soldiers from the first game munch more. I'm especially liking the camo helmet and goggle shape that isn't just round circles.

I know that the 6 color desert wasn't used in HL1 but it would be nice if there was hints of it considering that 6 color desert was used around the 1990s and considering the environment, 6 color would have helped out, but that's up to you devs.

Absolutely beautiful. Should be what Shephard and the other grunts wear in the remake.

Could you give them a black nbc hood? (almost like a M40 gas mask with a black M17 hood and the original HECU) Richard9311.deviantart.com

This is better than the BMS hecu models. It stays true to the original art style (the whole late 90's/early 2000's equipment thing)

these looks really darn good! though i gotta point something out, it's kind of a small detail but in my opinion it does help visually as well, on the PASGT helmet, the kind of helmet used here, the camouflage cover on top is made out of different parts of fabrics, which means the camouflage pattern misalign at the lines you can see on top of it, which here they don't
as small of a detail as it is (and honestly it's far from being a very urgent thing to fix lol) i do think it usually add a little more contrast to the helmet texture, which do look nicer, and looks less like the camo is just slapped on top of it and fake-looking sort of
really looking forward to the release of Operation Black Mesa! you guys' stuff rocks so far
