Half-Life 2 mod | Released Oct 26, 2008
Omfgzombieslol is a Half LIfe 2 Multiplayer COOP zombie mod where players band together to fight off genetically enhanced zombies with a range of new and improved abilities. Blockades and shelter are a huge role in survival aswell as teamwork and strategy. The zombie code is being reworked to make a much greater challenge for players and teams. Multiplayer is planned with 2 teams, humans and zombies. The zombie players will lead and control squads of zombies to destroy the humans, humans must simply survive or complete some sort of goal. This mod was started on 10-10-08 and I am trying to code this in less then 2 weeks, simply because L4D will most likely kill hl2 zombie mods, so why not try my hand at it before its too late >:D

So, today I have OFFICIAL released my first map. I have about twenty on my hard drive, but this is the first i have decided to release. Wanna know why? Because omfgzombieslol is an incredibly fun mod, except it has too few maps. I had to do a few trade-offs for this map to be completed. I took away my very well done displacements for the ground, so you wouldn't lose physics objects, which i might revert anyways, because the corpses would just disappear, similar in manner to how they do in Left 4 Dead.
So I'm putting this "news" out for people to ready, in an attempt to bring more people to this mod, that even before it finished, people were flaming saying it was pointless and that the author should do something more worthwhile. Regardless of your initial reaction to this mod you should still try it, for one reason. It's fun. After I have said all of this, I have one more plea before I go, Mappers, I beg you make a map or two for this mod, it's lacking in the number of maps that come with it (two) and even more so on third-party maps (one, mine).

when i try to run this thing it just launches Left 4 dead instead. what do i do to play this?

you do own half-life 2, right?
yes i do i changed it to run with steam but another guy said to EXTRACT IT TO MY SOURCEMODS folder. how do i do that to a file and not a folder?
you download the mod's client files and extract them to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods
then restart steam and it'll appear on the list.
Is there an option to start with better guns instead of impulse 101? I got carpal tunnel from shooting the pistol at the fast zombehs. Also, it would be nice if the zombies spawned in order, with the stronger ones coming once you got better weapons. I love the barricade feature, but it's kinda useless when the zombies can easily swat your rushed two second barricades out of the way.

(and don't worry about left 4 dead, my pc can't run it)
