that ship looks awesome but I must say it looks like a more advanced version of a republic cruiser and may not fit the mando style imo
Canonically the Venator may have been based off of this ship, it came to the attention of the Old Republic when it destroyed an Inexpungable class command ship. Someone posted a link in the images section.
Yup, most republic tech (clone wars era) was based off mandalorian design, the Venator was no exception.
Hey G as I was watching this video I noticed the ship banks very sharply blocking the line of fire of many of the guns besides a few turrets. Is this intentional to tone down the firepower or a slight SNAFU?
Hm, from this point of view it does make sense to me. The Republic wasn't prepared for a full scale war so they had to search for a fast solution. They went with design's from from one of the most feared badass warriors, the Mandalorians. Damn Geroenimo, you almost make me like this ship (in this era). Your work on it is just massive in all things possible to think of. But yeah, there is always that bad taste of a Clone Wars ship placed in the wrong era, but that's not your fault, Geroenimo.
scroll up some you'll see that the ship is canon although vague.
That's the problem I was talking about: I know that this is canon, I'm just ranting a little bit about some methods they use to implement new ships in some Star Wars comics... The model is awesome as said several times before. When criticism on this is not welcomed, I'm sorry. No need to downvote everyone in here...

It's not a clone wars era ship though, so that's no problem.
The banking doesn't stop the weapons from firing, they fire right through the ship, the game counts so-called fire cones as to where a weapon can fire, there can be a kilometer of starship in between the weapon and the target, if it's in the firecone the weapon will still fire and go right through its own hull. I have the firecones set so high so that it can hit ships that are right above the ship, usually clipping isn't a problem as this ship is on a very low level ;)

I have been quietly watching this mod for a while now. I can now say Holy **** this looks amazing. The progress on this mod is outstanding and the work is outstanding. Great work, awesome song, keep it up!!
When this mod comes out, you have to tell me how to me how to modify that ship. It just screams "Dar'manda" to me.
I understand it is your vision of it, but any one who is truly and deeply into the Mandalorians may find the ship extremely off. Then again there is not much known on it so it is a pretty blank slate for you to cast your dye on, however I'd still prefer it to take the role of a fast frigate with loads of missiles.
*Ahem* About the actual ship itself, love it. It looks amazing and your hard work has paid off, what are those big plasma rounds? Wait, don't tell me!.... Plasma rounds? :D.
Mass Drivers, they penetrate shields, not sure how much hull damage they inflict though.
oh wait my bad. Those purple globs of energy are the new ion cannon particles
Yeah those spherical turrets are ion cannons, they fire a purple/blue/white (depending on how far the camera is from the projectile, the colour changes) shot which is an ion projectile. Then there are the fast shooting mass drivers, there are 2 super heavy mass drivers on the sides of the hull, near the front of the ship which fire slowly, and deal as much damage as a heavy turbolaser, only directly to the hull. There are also 6 heavy mass drivers (3 on each side) to the rear of the hangers, which do half the damage of a heavy turbolaser.
So I'm guessing it's an anti capital ship. The mass drivers get some slow but powerful damage the ion cannons tears down the shields and then it just rips the ship apart. correct?
Nope, it's anti frigate specifically, does extra damage to frigates where for example the kandosii does extra damage vs capitals, though it's pretty effective vs capital ships too ofcourse.
I'm going to start drooling now.

So let me see if I got all the heavy hitters down, for the republic: the Inexpugnable-class tactical command ship, for the Sith: Sadow class battleship, and for the Mandalorians: Veragitor class battleship
The inexpugnable will fall to anything larger than a leviathan, that thing is pretty weak, the strenght of that thing lies in its supporting fleet that comes with it. The Sith also have the Harrower, and the Mandalorians also have the Kandosii.
Oh well, better luck next time i guess

I know it is big problem, but this big ship should turn on his side only when it's going fast not if it is nearly stacionary, then it should turn on his side only a bit
