Normandy '44: European Theater combines a higher level of realism with a more elaborate doctrine system, which incorporates almost 50 different military units that took part in the period of Jun-Sept 1944. This spectrum ranges from divisions of free Polish and French units serving under the main allied armies to volunteers from the Eastern Front that served in the German Wehrmacht. This is only a small portion of the doctrine variety however, as we feature numerous well known units of all factions as well. The mod also features numerous new abilities and custom made units each with a completely revamped size and structure. Between custom made units and structures with historically correct skins, Normandy '44 offers over 150 NEW UNITS, making for an almost endless variety of different scenarios and unit actions. Combined these factors provide for an experience unlike any other mod for CoH!

Holy Russia!
Why are there Russian vehicles in: "NORMANDY'44: European Theater"?
We are adding the Russians in v2.0 (which is why we added the European Theater to the name
We hope to add the Ostheer in future
And the Normandy 44 is more of brand name for the mod (been around a while :) )
Your mod it will be compatible to "East front" or will be independent?
No mod is or will ever e compatible with other mods...duh! They have different units, stats, music, balance, etc... How will the "Combined Mod Launcher" decide which stats, music, balance to use between 2 mods.
It's called logic, use it more often.
Wrong. Mods can be compatible with one another. For example, the NHC mod has a combiner mod that works with the Eastern Front mod. All it takes is cooperation between developers.
122 mm of raw soviet power...
damm thats a cool looking gun
this are better skins of that used in the ef but than again the next release of ef sounds like it will be interesting does anyone know if the ostheer will be included in the next patch of this mod and the next patch of ef?
Ostheer will not be in v2.0. The new doctrine structure does incorporate some new units/divisions. But an entire new faction is still in the future.
nice and look at the tanks in the back.
those are marders and a t 34 if im not wrong
no wait its an su 122
They are marders (fillers in for the SU-76 ATM) and another SU-22
What main divisions will the Russians have?
I am trying to remember off the top of my head....
Divisions from the 5th Army (184 and 159 RD's I think), the 51st Army, 11th guards army, 5th guards tank army, 2nd guards tank corps, 29th tank corps, 1st tank corps, 5th Army Artillery Corps, 5th army independent tank corps, 33rd gaurds rifle division, 3 guards cavalry, 3rd guards mechanized corps, 63rd guards heavy tank regiment, 5th guards rifle division (33rd and 12th RD's)...
A whole bunch based on Operation Bagration :)
Can I just ask how powerful the T-34s will be? They were built in mass numbers so whether you will restrict the amount of balance it out.
All of our cap limits are based on real life platoon sizes, etc... The T-34 will be capped similar or that same as the Sherman. As far as "power", all things in the mod are based on formulas and relativity. So they will be as "powerful" as the weapons should be, but will have costs relative to what that power and health represent.
In short, we can't have the Soviets have thier unbelievable manpower type advantage any more than we can have the Allies have their airpower superiority. If it get "too accurate", every game will play out just as the war did. So they are represented in an accurate but fair way, is the best way I could put it.
Fair enough, realistic enough for it not to be predictable?
He's Rammin' your windows, blowin your people up, blowin' blowin' (hehe, blowin'), so you better hide yo kids hide yo wife, hide yo kids, hide yo wife and hide your panzers cuz they're fu***** everyone out there...
anyone noticed the opened hatch?
it will get a tank commander?
It may get a commander, but not atm. For now it is a "glitch" for lack of a better term from getting the model.
You should take a MoW model with "crew inside" because once you get your men inside tanks they close the hatches :D
Hmm - didn't know that was an option :\
Will have to keep that in mind
welcome op to normandy 44!
Penetration - 160mm with APHE round :)
