Normandy '44: European Theater combines a higher level of realism with a more elaborate doctrine system, which incorporates almost 50 different military units that took part in the period of Jun-Sept 1944. This spectrum ranges from divisions of free Polish and French units serving under the main allied armies to volunteers from the Eastern Front that served in the German Wehrmacht. This is only a small portion of the doctrine variety however, as we feature numerous well known units of all factions as well. The mod also features numerous new abilities and custom made units each with a completely revamped size and structure. Between custom made units and structures with historically correct skins, Normandy '44 offers over 150 NEW UNITS, making for an almost endless variety of different scenarios and unit actions. Combined these factors provide for an experience unlike any other mod for CoH!

Wow, something to stand toe to toe with those German tanks at last! Can't wait.

Btw - great music choice for this video. The heavy metal stuff on some of the other videos was a bit incongruous!

I find heavy metal and this game a winning comination. Expecially when these guys have my 2 most favourite bands - Sabaton and Rammstein in their videos. And Russian tanks were the best tanks in the 2.W.W. just after the German ones. They lost so many tanks not because of their tanks being bad, its because tank crews lacked training and experience which Germans had.

Their tanks were often very lacking compared to germans tanks towards the end, german tanks were at a major disadvantage at the beginning of the war, but towards the end the enemy often stood no chance unless in greater numbers or from close quarters flanking action.

"8-8 nach vorn"!

Great job with this mod. Seems that Eastern Front won't ever make it to a final version (with Ostheer). So this fine mod is even more appreciated.
Thx a lot for making Ostfront possible.

What are you talking about, of course EF will reach a final version, you want a half assed Ostheer faction? Because we don't.

Awesome video guys, apologies for the digression XD

I butchered that quote but you get what I'm saying. Keep up the hard work, I look forward to both of these mods very much!

Description

The KV-85 was essentially a KV-1S with a new turret designed for the IS-85, mounting the same 85 mm D-5T gun as the SU-85 and early versions of the T-34-85. Already-high demand for the gun slowed production of the KV-85 tremendously. The KV-85 was produced in the fall and winter of 1943-44; they were sent to the front as of September 1943. The KV-85 is available with two of the three Soviet doctrines in v2.0. Please remember all this data is tentative and may change for the final release of v2.0.
