Dismemberment! Now where's the gigantic hand-blades?

NMRIH doesn't have a ripper, but the chainsaw ought to de-limb those necro's ^_^

And machete, and hatchet, and fireaxe, and pretty much all firearms, hopefully a crowbar. Because it'd be awesome to gib zombies with a crowbar

*Don* Dec 20 2012 says:

Looking good, but I would like to see some hardcore gore. Like shotgun blast to the head carnage. Half a face, head split open stuff.

But then again, I'm a weirdo!

[Tox(sic)] Dec 20 2012 replied:

I'll take realistic gore over hardcore gore, but I must admit that sounds pretty cool.

Ardman55 Mar 9 2013 replied:

Actually, what *Don* said was more realistic.
If you shoot someone into the face with a shotgun, he'll either have holes in it or a split open head, but it wont just cleanly disappear as if you killed it with a machete.

Could you potentially keep a zombie alive by removing its jaw and arms so it cant get you?

+7 votes     reply to comment

Could be nice, if there were to be a slight rare chance within the generated zombies, that one of them were to have lost a arm or broken up rip cage. Just unlucky ones that were turned or some accident during the zombie attack on the survivor. Would set a more bloody atmosphere going. Greate to see that there is still ideas going in the game!

Will it work in the same way of Black Mesa gibbbing sys?

Callinstead09 Dec 25 2012 replied:

Black Mesa gibbing is really strange at times. Once, I threw a bucket at a scientist and he exploded into a million pieces, with no blood.

both games run off the source engine, so yes.

Which is why l4d2's gore is identical to Black Mesa's, right? Oh, wait.

SectorC May 23 2013 replied:

Black Mesa's gib system is similar to the original Half-Life, and also TF2 uses the same gib system.
Left 4 Dead 2's gib system is more like this.

It would be cool if you'd also be able to dismember hands (not only whole arms) because of the way zombies position their arms(and thus- their hands) when they move towards you, the hands are the first thing that probably would get hit by a melee weapon

looks awesome so far! Would like to see some more head models though, it's kind of sily when you punch a zombie to death and his head explodes

So will you be able to "make" crawlers, or can we expect to see them as a new zombie type in-game? I think they could be a great way to keep the players on their toes, while still staying true to the zombie lore.

skully172 Jan 17 2013 says:

they should make something like l4d... like when you shot the zombie in the chest.. it makes a big hole

I think they should make a gamemode where you can be the zombie, i mean it would be cool but also a little less real, because if you are a zombie, you can't control yourself.

armyofone02 Aug 1 2013 says:

well if you were a zombie, the survivors would be at a major disadvantage because they're not fighting an NPC but a knowledgable person, soooo. they would be practically screwed.
