I didn't include a BUIS because it was really unnecessary and would only be for aesthetics. I had considered it at the time, though. The scope's position doesn't totally matter, but I based it off of a lot of photos. I don't ahve an AR-15 personally so I couldn't gauge off hand but that is roughly where most people have them positioned.
a .223 is .003 inches greater in diameter than a .22 LR round. The .223 remmington is faster, but is not significantly larger than tour average boy scout plinker's bullet.
I don't agree about the ".22" thing, but this weapon would not be my first choice in engaging the dead, however I guess if I had to choose between a police baton and this then I'd go for this.

Fair enough, eye relief is just tough to manage on a full stock AR.
