This mod aims to recreate the atmosphere of the period of the War of the Grand Alliance, also known as the Nine Years War. The mod will reflect the transition from matchlock to flintlock and from pike to bayonet. There will be a new faction (the Cossack Hetmanate and the Jacobites). The mod will incorporate some units of the Hetmanate TW mod with some changes to reflect the late 17th century.
Some factions will have more than one general model. There will be a default one, but also others that can be recruited as units. French will have 2 general models (see images for the redcoated one). In this period, some generals and senior officers wore a cuirass (breastplate) under their coat. All French cavalry officers were supposed to wear a breastplate, but in practice this was widely ignored.
