We are proud to announce the release of New Universe 1.7.
This time we included many new gameplay features such as:
- Cloak Devices with Cloak Activators (a more comfortable way to handle cloaking)
- Anti Cloak Devices (depending on the device you can decloak all ships within the range of the device)
- No Cloaking Zones (nope, no cloaking here)
- Repair Turrets (two types, one for shield, one for armor)
- Hull Reflector Armor (reflects some part of the incoming energy and hits directly the attacker ships hull, shields don't help here)
- Clanship Docking
- Roleplay Restarts (choose you own roleplay and start in the right region with the right reps)

hey, i know of a way to play singleplayer (i put it on a long time ago, it is further down on this page). But i have a problem with the server i am creating, it is saying that i only have version 1.0 and it will not let me log on to the server. I have already tried to use the Freelancer official update 1.1, and that doesn't do anything. Does anyone know of what i can use to make it work?
Even if u get the server to the right version u will still not be able to play on the server because of permanent crashes!
We're using a few serverside tools for some custom ingame features, without these tools u wont get a server without crashes.
U will also need a few other modfiles that dont come with the client mod, such as NPC's ini's without this inis u will CDT every time u jump into a system with custom or reworked NPC's.
Okay, if this isn't singleplayer, please take out the 'singleplayer' text when people are searching for mods...
This makes me very frustrated I can't play this on singleplayer and all I have is a choice to go to a server that has NO players, and 200 Ping.
may i ask where are u from?
Our server is lockated in germany and most EU players have a ping below 60 and our US players are having a ping around 120-140.
Sry for not suporting single player we will spend some work in as soon as possible but we have other things on the list.

Personally I don't think you should give a rats ass about singleplayer just have them go and set up their own lan server. It achieves the same goal and you don't have to waste time modding the game for SP.

Guys PLZ stop picking on each other, SP is not supported.
I know it su**s but I simply don't have the time for it yet and also when i get the time i have tons of other things to do.
New Universe was designed as MP mod and therefor MP has priority.
But thats my problem u guys rly don't need to pick on each other for my fault. ;-)
