It's the most fun outmanouevring ships like that :). Will she surrender, so you can take her over, like the other ships, too? I guess adding the Dauntless to your fleet will be very expensive. However, I got a lot of ransom after waging war against a pirate settlement. SO I have tons of dirty money to spend :)

I guess Dauntless in a convoy with other ships would be damn near impossible (or take forever) to bring her down with just one ship.

Ayup. The trick is to stay in their blind spot. Also carry a LOT of shot and powder. 2000 rounds or so. I recently had the bad luck to run into one unexpectedly in a light frigate and it only took 2 broadsides to sink me.

It also helps quite a bit to have all abilities and upgrades equipped.

Description

If you're going against a hugs ship like the Dauntless, you'll more than likely have the speed advantage. Whatever you do, stay away from her port and starboard sides. All it takes is a few good broadsides and you'll go down with the tide. Weave back and forth across her stern and bow, where A. You'll do the most damage and B. You're only up against 2 cannons. This video demonstrates how to weave across the bow and stern properly while staying in the blind spots of her port and starboard cannons. It also demonstrates how to use the island to your advantage as I hide behind a cliff to avoid a nasty broadside. I chose my favorite ship, the Black Pearl. Try it out! :)
