This is a total conversion of Sins of a Solar Empire. five new playble races will be introduced each with differing play styles and apearances. The focus of this mod will be small and large scale fleet stratagy and empire building.
One of the many orbital installations employed by the T.E.F long range artillery structures serve as their name would suggest.
Tactics
Minimum range is the gravity well meaning that they make for poor planetary defences so when placing do not place at a world that you believe will be coming under attack. Instead suggested placement sights include asteroids especially dead asteroids as they are of little value and do not really need defences of their own. The structure can also be built by a construction cruiser in deep space but the price is a great deal higher so this makes keeping arty emplacement hidden much easier but costs a great deal more.
O.k I made this because its looking like the long range ships are not going to be able to hit ships outside their gravity well. (they can target and hit but we can't seem to make them do any damage.) So we will set their range to infinite within the gravity well (the gravity well being several times larger then in vanilla sins) and will add an artillery tactical structure to compensate.
also first round selection for alpha testing are complete I'm just waiting for the group to be authenticated then will be adding more people.
this is the coolest superweapon I ever seen in a mod. It the t.e.f. superweapon right? equivalent to the TEC novalith cannon? In any case, awesome design.
not a super weapon. It's a teir 3 military research. All races have a version of this. It's for discouraging attacks by large ships on nearby worlds as well as a weapon for smashing a beach head. Also great at taking out starbases. Can't hit frigates for **** though.
