Nali Weapons 3 is a new weapon pack for Unreal Tournament, containing 17 new weapons, new pickups, ultra gore, nukes and more.
Enhancement of the Megaton nuclear blast:
- red lit environment (nuke-like)
- atmospheric ring/halo
- more atmospheric fx
- added lens fx
- flying debris with smoke/flames on hit
Check the NW3 Preview 2 video to compare with the old one.
The flying debris was a nice idea, great visuals.
Well done, have you ever considered working for epic games? Having made U4E, Chaos UT, Rockets UT, <insert more popular weapon mods here>, bow down to the mere concept of nw3 and Xvehicles sure is something.
Nah, I am a toddler compared with epic games devs or any other big company developers, I would never be able to enter it with my current experience and skill.
Even great developers have difficulties in doing so, let alone me, but thanks for the compliment. :)
Wow, nicely done (understatement). BTW, where can I gat that map? I always wanted a totally flat map.
You usually dont find alot of flat maps like that available for download. I can make one for you if you want, just provide (detailed) specs, a name for the map, and what site to upload to. (not mapfactory cause there is up to week long delays) I can easily whip one up in under a minute. ;)
I'd even be willing to write you down as the author if you want cause it's your concept.
PM me.
Sorry, I didn't realize how suspicious that sounded. Disregard. :P
This is my personal nuke testing map. But I won't give anyone this one (it's a bit crashy even without using any mod on it, still use it to check if it makes any difference with the big nukes, to ensure stability).
Instead I will most likely bundle a more stable "DM-NuclearTest" map with the pack on full release (so players can test the biggest nukes more freely, like the megaton, ultimaprotos and ionizer). :)
OK Thanks!
How much does this explosion affect framerate? It looks rather complex.
Well, depends on your machine really. But generally speaking, the explosion effect don't slow down the game, but when they do due to complex backdrops for instance (like in CTF-Face), the nuke detail lessens relative the fps drop (you don't even notice when this happens really, you just notice a less detailed nuke in this case).
