You should fix the light_environment color (brightness) on this map. I wonder what does this thing do. A simple strong puch seems to be....crazy.

"packs a big punch" doesn't literally mean he punches you, it's just an English phrase to describe that he's very powerful.

@Gosthy: The map isn't one of ours, so we're probably quite limited in what we can do. Maybe a code hack could get around it, but I'm not sure.

As for showing this guy off, our pvm script file system now lets people create multiple monster types of the same "classname" (eg npc_vortigaunt), and give them different stats, model & skin. Custom skins and models will even be downloaded to all clients automatically.

Our intention is that servers will be able to configure their own bosses as they see fit, and sometime soon after 1.77, they will be able to specify modules that their custom bosses/monsters can use also. Right now though, this guy is just a beefed up vortigaunt.

I know a fine decompiler named VMEX, so we can simply edit the map. Not sure if it is a nice way to go, maybe you should ask the map's creator about it. I can fix it anyways.

So this is what you were talking about here: Moddb.com . So now server owners can make antlions look like hunters for example? Sounds weird.

I wonder what would it look like to get thrown the f*ck off by a hatcrab. :) And all animations would be missing, so...that would be sick.

AND

There aren't antlion guardIANS in the game, yet. (I think.) The antlion guards are the brown ones and the guardians are the green ones.

Just look at the wiki:
guard: Half-life.wikia.com
guardian: Half-life.wikia.com

Description

You may recognize this vortigaunt as you're friendly rebel scientist, Uriah...but don't be fool. This new boss packs a big punch, despite his tiny stature.

Be on the look out for him in up-and-coming versions.
