Mirage is a third person action RPG that puts the player into the shoes of two very different characters on opposing sides of a violent conflict. Made for the pc, and utilizing the Source engine, made famous by games like Half Life 2 and Portal, Mirage takes the fast paced action of hack and slash RPG’s, and combines it with a “Final Fantasy” style of storytelling. Utilising the various tools in the Source engines software development kit, Mirage will be a heavily customised modification of Half Life 2: Episode 2.

Organics are the hardest subject to model in my opinion. Being able to soft model (organics) is a very hard thing to master, but will definately get you a job somewhere if you can do it well.
I say that with absolutely no experience, just what I've been told - since I'm still a student myself :p

We have actually finished the model of Lonnard, and normal maps etc.
Images coming as soon as he is rigged, so we can pose him. :)

Description

Lonnard is our second playable character. A member of the elite home guard in his home city, he is a strong warrior, who relies on thoroughly engrained tactics to see him through. His fighting style is a bit robotic due to the lack of conflict in the area. He only trains the mandatory amount of time demanded by the army per day. Despite this, he is extremely loyal to his city, and regards his honour as a home guard very highly.

Lonnard is training in his assigned facility during the initial assault, and he is forced back to an inner city fortification. It is from here that the player must halt the enemy advance.

More coming soon, including model, mudboxing and texture.

At the moment, Lonnard is modelled and mudboxed (Normal Map) and is awaiting texturing and rigging.
