Loving the new shotguns! Especially that Saiga. I can put a silencer on it, right? No Country for Old Stalkers. ;D

Is this all the shotguns you plan on implementing? Not to imply it's not plenty, I'm just curious. I can't wait to play M.I.N.E. XD

And nice choice of music! NIN ftw!

We have a few more that we're evaluating the usefulness of at the moment. Trying to make sure they aren't knock-offs of other weapons, and that they're genuinely stand-alone contributions to the armory.

While you CAN'T silence the Saiga, you CAN scope it (PSO-1 scope).

How fair would that be to let our NATO friends scope their Protecta, and not let us scope our Saiga-12? :)

Thanks for the feedback, it is always appreciated.

Here's an idea: Make a new sawed-off: a sawed-off over 'n' under. That way, those that want can still have a sawed-off as their sidearm, without castrating those that may want a sawed-off as their primary. Like, say, have a sniper magnum as their secondary (Although not necessarily their sidearm...) and a sawed-off as their primary.

On a related note, a really short pump-action for secondary slot, for later game, would be cool, as well. Just think: Ithaca 37, Stakeout variant, or the Winchester Super Shorty. Seems balanced, considering the possibility of having a D-*******-Eagle as your *cough* "sidearm".

Maybe put in a pump-action hunting shotgun. The biggest and baddest weapon you can get, in the shotgun section. As far as raw damage, and accuracy, even with shot, goes, that is. Plus, it could have a rail on it's model. And you know what you can do with a rail in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

"The Ithaca model 37 shotgun is one of the oldest pump action shotguns still in production." -World Guns.ru
Makes perfect sense to show up in the Zone, en mass, eh? Besides, given it's production values (Or lack thereof.), it would make sense to be able to buy it from anyone, and to show up in the hands of even Loners. Although, maybe the Stakeout variant should be a Bandit/Bandit camp black market only item, since it was made exclusively for law enforcement, and security use.

Snipin', slug firin', insta-killin', shotgun-based WMD, anyone?

But I'll just leave with the comment that all of the shotguns look awesome. And that I sincerely hope that the sounds are more in sync with the animations than in vanilla...You can take any ideas here, and do what you will with them. I still say having a "Stakeout" for a sidearm would kick so much *** it'd be an end-game tier weapon...

This looks very nice indeed. Also, the last part, when decimating the Bandits.. where those explosive shells? I didn't see any fuel barrels.

Those were dart rounds, which have explosive qualities. I thought I'd show how the Saiga can be accurate with the right ammo.

The protecta and the saiga look and sound so satisfying!!! The vanilla shotguns just don't have the same "Whumph" to them. XD

This mod is looks really good, and definitely needs more attention.

Hell yeah! Let's rip the hell off those damn bandits! >=)
Anyway, maybe you should change the Franchi SPAS-12 animation? The aiming is normal now, but the pumping and reloading are... Eeeh... Strange. Gosuke has done a nice job, you could use it!)

Thanks for the tip; I'll have to check that out. I thought it was a little strange, too.

just one little note: the saiga shoukld eject shotgun shells, not the rifle ones, if you could fix that it would be great. Otherwise great video, really like it :)

Clear Sky apparently did not support the Shotgun particle effect for shells ejecting the way that the Saiga-12 and Protecta needed them to.

I fixed that by borrowing the particles.xr from Call of Pripyat and now we have ejecting shotgun shells for both guns.

I plan on doing a video showcasing a limited number of new weapons, and the Saiga-12 is shown briefly so that you can see the changes in action.

Aah, another thing i noticed : Aren´t the frag-12 (are these frag-12?) rounds that rare? I always thought they were high end military purpose ammunition, but I noticed that many of the bandits and freedom mebers in the video use it, shouldn´t it be hard to obtain and expensive?

great you included them :)

And a question: do you include the Kalash assault rifle from Metro-2033 which was used in faction fronts, would be a nice easteregg :D

oh, and will there be different grenade types for the underbarreled launchers?

Thanks for answering ;-D

Let's see...

A) The rounds which are showing "explosions" are using an explosive property available for ammo. I didn't notice it at first, but a lot of the enemies were being given dart and zhekan (slug) ammo. This was causing nearly all of them to have the explosive ammo type.

I fixed that by removing the explosive property on zhekan ammo, and keeping it exclusively for Dart ammo. I also completely re-did weapons assignment (as hinted at in the Features v2 list) so this is less prevalent now.

B) I never played Metro2033, so unfortunately, I wouldn't know what the rifle looks like. We do have a pretty sweet AK-47 in-game, though, and it's believable (if you ask me).

C) Unlike the vanilla game, there will be VOG-25 AND VOG-25p grenades available. The VOG-25p are slightly more powerful. Unfortunately, no plans to add additional M209 grenades types exist. I think this is fair, though, given the setting of the game. You wouldn't exactly find lots of NATO-compatible grenades laying around. :)

Great, thanks

The "Kalash" is just an Ak-74M (I guess) with a special camo printed on it and tritium illuminated sights, nothing special, i was asking because I saw it in a faction fronts feature list and when I read you include parts of it, I thought about the Kalash ;D

You got an AKM and an Ak-47? is there an Aks/Akms too? :D I loved that variations in L.U.R.K!

Can´t wait for the weapon demonstration video, I´m very curious, keep it up :)

I'm looking at an AKS-74 with a neon-green dotsight on it. Might be worth adding, but as I recall it didn't animate properly. We'll see what we can do. :)

Description

Here we demo currently working shotguns. The first 40 seconds plus show you the new Bandit Trench outfit we've added, and the view of each shotgun from a third-person view (looking at the actor).

Then we show you two common weapons, the BM-16 and the TOZ-34. Half-way into the Winchester 1300 demo we kick things up a notch with some music.

We hope you enjoy the video.
